Massage
Looking to relax and get lost in massage land? Want to address those aching shoulders? How about both.
What I call “traditional table massage” is probably what you think of when you imagine a massage. The person receiving is on a warm cozy massage table with bolsters and blankets and the massage therapist undrapes and works each area of the body. My techniques are mainly based in Swedish massage with long fluid movements and firm pressure to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (relaxation), increase blood flow to muscles and joints (pain relief), and increase lymphatic flow (detox). Based on your needs, that day, specific areas of concern will receive additional time and techniques to further increase mobility, reduce pain, and assist you with your goals that day. My intention is to help your body do the MAGIC it does on its own while you thoroughly enjoy a peaceful massage. I typically work at a medium level; not light & fluffy, but not no-pain-no-gain.
Techniques include: Swedish, relaxation, deep tissue, myofascial release, reflexology, accupressure, and cupping.
Great for reducing aches and pains, relieving body congestion/inflammation, reducing stress, increasing circulation, and increasing clarity.

Thai Massage
Thai Massage is an ancient form of bodywork practiced in Thailand for thousands of years and draws from Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. I learned Thai massage in Bend, OR, from wonderful teachers who studied in Thailand. Sessions are completed on a natural fiber mat on the floor, no oil is used, and the recipient is fully clothed. I use a rhythmic sequence of stretches and massage to increase mobility, circulation, relaxation, and energy or ‘lom’ (similar to prana, qi, or vital life energy). I follow a routine that works the entire body and can be adapted to meet your needs/goals on that particular day. PNF stretching is sometimes incorporated. This form of massage is particularly good for the lower body and hips – allowing for extensive leg massage and deep pressure. Clients report feeling deeply relaxed while also experiencing an energizing whole-body tingle/vibration.
Great for athletes, sore legs, targeting the hips, deep relaxation, and stiff joints!

Foot Massage
Treat your tootsies to some extra time. I use techniques from Swedish massage, reflexology, Thai foot massage, Shiatsu, and Chinese foot massage. The lower legs and feet are worked rhythmically to relax the whole body. Once the feet are warmed and relaxed, direct pressure is applied to energy lines and reflex points along the feet, ankles, and lower leg. The intention is to balance and promote relaxation by stimulating and balancing points on the feet and also address pain and musculoskeletal inbalance. If you would like to designate a few minutes to hands and head, we can do that!
Perfect when you need to care for yourself but are watching the clock or budget.
**Can be done independently or as an add on*

Oncology massage
Massage is becoming widely recommended as a complementary therapy for people undergoing treatment for cancer. The body of research is also growing which shows the many benefits. I hold a Certificate of Completion in ‘Massage for People Living with Cancer’ and used to volunteer at St. Charles in the Infusion Room. Each session is tailored to your needs and will vary in length and intensity based on your needs that day. A brief phone interview is required before the first appointment. Home visits are available.
I look forward to providing you with a safe and therapeutic massage.
- If you are currently undergoing treatment OR have received treatment for cancer at any point in your life it is very important to inform your massage therapist.
